Activities and experiences

From May to September, every Wednesday evening from 7:00 pm until sunset, we run beginner kayak technique sessions: we provide all equipment and learn through practical, fun exercises on the river. During the season we also offer guided hikes and canyoning outings in the area, depending on the time of year and conditions.

Road cycling, MTB, downhill, and off-road.

The area around Castel del Rio is loved by cyclists: scenic roads for road bikes, gravel tracks and MTB routes, and more technical sections for those looking for a more intense ride, including downhill-style itineraries. The area is also interesting for motocross and off-road enthusiasts.

A convenient base for Imola events

The campground is also a great base for major events in Imola—from racing-related weekends to concerts and city events. Imola is less than 30 minutes away, and you can return here to sleep in nature and quiet, avoiding traffic and the often high accommodation prices in the city during peak periods.

Day trips

Many guests use Campeggio Alidosi as a convenient, good-value base for day trips to Bologna, Florence, Ravenna, and Ferrara. You can head out in the morning, enjoy the city, and come back here in the evening to sleep surrounded by nature, often at a better value than staying in town.
